About Joelle
After finishing college with a B.A. in anthropology from Humboldt State, Joelle Jorissen worked on various organic farms in California, Montana, and Oregon. It was during this time that she realized her passion was in working with kids. Since then she has spent time in the dirt, the classroom, and on the yoga mat with kids of all ages.

In 2017 she received her Masters of Teaching from SOU and a multiple subjects Oregon teaching license. She has worked as an outdoor educator with the Siskiyou Field Institute, as an educational coordinator for the Southern Oregon Historical Society at Hanley Farm, and as a substitute teacher throughout the Rogue Valley.
In 2019 Joelle became a certified kids yoga instructor through Rainbow Kids yoga and Yami Yogi. Combined she has over 100 hours of kids yoga training. Previously, Joelle taught Yoga Explorers at The Children's Museum of Southern Oregon (previously Kid Time). Joelle loves all things nature. You may spot her out hiking, skiing, kayaking, dancing, doing aerial arts of all kinds, hanging upside down, playing on the river, or spending time with her dog Myla in the backcountry.
